Halal Beef & Lamb

Honest meat. Clear labels.

Bangkok Beef is a butcher and online store. We sell many origins — Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Japan, and more. Not everything we sell is halal. What we can say clearly is this:

All of our Australian and New Zealand beef and lamb is halal certified. It comes from halal-certified export plants. Every carton we receive carries an official halal stamp, together with Thailand’s Department of Livestock Development (DLD) import approval.

If you need a certificate or a photo of the carton label for a specific lot, message us on LINE @bangkokbeef and we will share what we have for that shipment.

How Australian export beef and lamb are certified

Australian export red meat sold as halal is regulated by the Australian Government under the Australian Government Authorised Halal Program (AGAHP).

Under AGAHP:

• The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry works with Approved Islamic Organisations (AIOs)
• Export plants must hold an approved arrangement covering halal production, segregation and labelling
• Cartons of certified product carry the official halal stamp

How New Zealand export beef and lamb are certified

New Zealand export meat is certified under a government system administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). Halal plants must be registered and certified by an MPI-approved halal organisation. Cartons carry a HALAL NZ mark (or equivalent approved stamp).

What this covers

• All Australian beef we sell — from halal-certified export plants; every carton is halal-stamped (examples photographed: Marble King / Penstock Pastoral Wagyu EST 3888; Australian cartons EST 243).
• All New Zealand beef we sell — same standard; cartons carry HALAL NZ (examples photographed: Silver Fern Farms PS-aged rump and ribeye roll, EST ME125).
• All Australian and New Zealand lamb we sell — including Fletcher and White Stripe — from halal-certified export plants with stamped cartons.

What we do not claim as halal

To stay honest with our Muslim customers:

• USA beef (Demkota, Excel, Harris Certified Angus Beef, Swift USA, and similar) — we do not claim these as halal.
• Japanese Wagyu (Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Hokkaido, Sanuki, and similar) — we do not claim these as halal.
• Pork of any origin (including Spanish Iberico and Thai pork) — not halal.
• Mixed or further-processed lines that blend non-AU/NZ ingredients (for example ancestral mince blends with Brazilian heart) — we do not claim these as halal.

Country of origin is shown on each product. If the title says American or Japanese, treat it as outside this halal statement.

Cutting and packing in Bangkok

We do no pork butchery. Pork arrives packed from the farm and we send it out as-is — it never goes through our cutting room. Our cutting room is for beef, lamb and the other meats we portion ourselves.
